Microsoft Dynamics System Administrator.

Location: New York, NY/Carlstadt, NJ

Duration: 6 Months

Project: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an MSD 365 Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our D365 Commerce System. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in a dynamic IT support environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Dynamics 365, possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • System Configuration and Maintenance:
  • Adding roles to Dynamics 365.
  • D365 Custom configuration and scripting.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations WMS – real life experience of working within a warehouse and configuring/operating WMS.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations eComm Fulfilment – real life experience of working within an eComm fulfilment (MSD is integrated to a
  • third party eComm provider).
  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement system upgrades and patches to keep the environment up-to-date and secure.
  • Strong experience of MSD365 architecture, Data model, Data Entities and the use of Custom Entities.

Point Of Sale:

  • Point of Sale (POS) Device activation commerce D365
  • Mobile POS management & configuration

User Support:

  • PO orders configuration and reporting
  • Troubleshooting Store Commerce
  • Warehouse management and allocation support
  • Provide expert guidance and best practices for optimizing operational engagement – real life examples at business required.
  • Merchandising product and services .
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing inquiries related to Microsoft Dynamics functionality.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

  • Monitor manage and resolve MS 365 alerts
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness as needed.

Integration and Data Management:

  • Finance and SAP interface support.
  • Experience with integrations with eCommerce Platforms (Shopify preferred)
  • Experience in integrations to and from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • Facilitate data integration between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other systems.
  • Monitor and optimize data migration processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Proficiency and real life experience in developing custom APIs, web services, and integrations using Microsoft technologies including Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and .NET framework
  • Proficiency and real life experience in developing using X++ and Logic Apps
  • Experience with middleware platforms for integration orchestration, such as Azure Integration Services, SSIS, or similar

Security and Access Control:

  • Implement and manage security policies to ensure data integrity and protect against unauthorized access.
  • Administer user roles and permissions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 & OKTA.

Monitoring and Performance Tuning:

  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and procedures.
  • Create user guides and training materials as needed.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation and operation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

Required Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics System Administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture and Commerce.
  • Proficiency in configuring and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with security administration and access control in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with integration techniques and data management in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 administration are a plus.

Must Have Skills:

  • Microsoft Dynamic 365 working knowledge.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as a team environment.
  • Describe a situation and the resolution and documenting it.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Industry experience
  • Being flexible in the hours they put in ( if they can work earlier to help other timezones is a plus).

Soft Skills/Preferred Background

  • Experience joining a project post-implementation.
  • D365 supply chain experience.
