The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to support the development and execution of innovative solutions that enhance mission capabilities. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and implement engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.What You Will Do
  • Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties: electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and/or chemical.
  • Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct detailed analyses, simulations, and tests to validate design concepts and ensure system performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems and optimize processes.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot engineering challenges, proposing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes.
What You Must Have
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
  • Candidate must have experience in assessing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for material condition on US Navy ships and barges.
  • Candidate must have shipboard experience.
  • Candidate must have experience in report writing and quad chart development is preferred.
  • Candidate must have experience performing ship checks on US Navy ships and barges.
  • Candidate must be willing to Travel as required (approximately 25% or more travel time).
Bonus Points For Having!
  • Prior experience working at a US Naval Shipyard in an engineering discipline/Senior Subject Matter Expert in HM&E systems
  • Planning and estimating experience
Physical RequirementsOffice, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
