Job Description :

Our rapidly growing trials and investigations law firm is looking for an enthusiastic, very hard working litigator who wants real control over casework, who is ready to direct teams and drive cases, who wants to develop as a trial lawyer, and who can handle both business litigation and complex public service matters. The Associate must have at least one year of practice experience including at least one year handling complex commercial litigation and must have substantial litigation writing experience. Experience in federal court, state commercial courts, and arbitrations is highly preferred. Experience in taking and defending depositions, standing for arguments, and trials and arbitral hearings is very helpful, but not required. The Associate need not have a book of business any business – some business is great – but must be ready to direct teams of other lawyers, analysts, of-counsel, experts, and others. Such an Associate will likely be the primary lawyer on her matters, ensuring the cases move forward efficiently and with success. Applicants should be team players who can handle pressure, unexpected and time-sensitive deadlines, want to take on new projects, know that success in complex litigation at times requires long hours, believe in the public service aspects of the law, and want to develop as great all-around lawyers.

NOTE: This is an in-office position. We have offices in New York and California, but this position is for the New York office.
