Job Title: TIG Welder - 3rd Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder for our 3rd shift to perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies according to customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrications.

• Ensure welding operations are performed in accordance with established specifications, including production work orders and drawings.

• Conduct quality and self-inspection as per procedure using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and measuring tools.

• Meet pre-established objectives individually or as part of a team with limited to no supervision.

• Ensure safety while handling parts and operating equipment to prevent damage to oneself, others, or production.

• Actively participate in new product introduction and suggest new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workplace.

• Perform routine welding machine maintenance as outlined in the maintenance procedure manuals.

• Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MIG/TIG welding.

• Experience in welding heavy steel and stainless steel.

• Experience with new build welds and repair welds.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

• Knowledge of TIG, Flux Core, and FCAW welding techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Manual dexterity.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Adaptability to various changes in situations.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and noise levels. The role requires standing for up to six plus hours per day, with occasional sitting for short periods. Must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs. in the proper ergonomic position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
