To be eligible to enlist in the U.S. Navy, candidates must be between the ages of 18-34.

Candidates seeking careers in this field should preferably have a degree focusing on areas such as international relations, political science, government, engineering, physical science, natural science, computer science, or other academic fields related to intelligence.

INTELLIGENCE AND INFORMATION SECURITY CAREERS IN THE NAVYINTELLIGENCE OFFICER

Analyze top-secret information, interpret spy reports, and direct the analysis of top-secret satellite imagery. Use your keen analytical abilities to perceive patterns in internet chatter and ascertain the implications of the latest intelligence.

CRYPTOLOGIC WARFARE OFFICER

Create warfighting options for Fleet Commanders, advise decision-makers at all levels, and achieve military objectives in cyberspace. Your knowledge of the cyber battlespace will be unmatched.

CYBER WARFARE ENGINEER

Research, design, develop, test, and evaluate software and firmware for Cyberspace Operations. Apply principles and techniques of computer science and computer engineering to build software and firmware to defend our nation's vital computer networks.

INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL OFFICER

Lead your team of Information Systems Technicians to ensure the delivery of communications capabilities by operating, maintaining, and securing our networks globally. Assist with top-secret cyberwarfare missions and discover tactical and strategic advantages afloat and ashore.
