Milk Receiver - Prairie Farms Dairy : Job Details

East Side Jersey Dairy O'Fallon/Prairie Farms is looking for an experienced milk receiver to support production in a food manufacturing and packaging facility.

• Location: O'Fallon, Illinois
• Job Type: Full-time with shift differential; 90-day probationary period
• Union: Teamsters Local 50 union

This position performs production operation duties to ensure quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers in a safe manner. General Purpose: Responsible for ensuring the milk received is within specification and meets all food safety and quality requirements. Position Responsibilities:

• If state certified, approves raw milk for receipt only after all required tests are conducted and are within the specifications of Appendix N, other regulatory and Company policies on raw milk receiving and testing.
• If not state certified, takes samples to the laboratory for testing.
• Unloads raw milk only after all required testing.
• Performs appropriate raw milk CQP monitoring, verifies critical limits and takes appropriate corrective actions.
• Follows Company protocol for rejection of raw milk loads.
• Records receiving records and product traceability records properly.
• Ensures time, temperature, concentration, and flow are within specification requirements and are documented, and corrective actions taken.
• Cleans equipment and environment as per master sanitation schedule (MSS).
• Performs all tasks as per the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
• Reports any food safety or quality issues to management and assists in implementing corrective action measures.
