Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation: Operate vertical and horizontal milling machines to perform precision machining operations such as milling, drilling, and boring on a variety of materials including metals and plastics.Setup and Calibration: Set up milling machines by installing and aligning fixtures, cutting tools, and workpieces. Adjust machine settings and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings to determine machining requirements, including dimensions and tolerances.Machining: Execute machining operations according to specifications, including creating and modifying parts to meet required dimensions and tolerances.Inspection: Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on milling machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and checking for wear. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the machining process.Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing or machining environment.Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating vertical and horizontal milling machines. Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics. Familiarity with G-code programming is a plus.Tools: Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and machining tools. Ability to set up and calibrate machines accurately.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in machining operations and inspections.Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve machine issues efficiently.Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.Working Conditions:Environment: Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
