The outside sales representative will be responsible for locating profitable work, compiling the scope of work for an estimator to price, communicating with new and existing clients, building strong relationships, and procuring new sources of work & vendors to maximize profitability. Essential Job Responsibilities

Communicating with clients during and after bid time.

Travel to locate new business opportunities.

Appraisal of Bidding documentation.

Perform value engineering with clients to help drive costs and lead times of projects.

Promoting a positive image to current and potential customers.

Locate work outside the scope of the multi-GC bid setting.

Communicate with architects to ensure we are the specified vendor for every project.

Essential Qualifications

Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to think on your feet.

Three (3) to five (5) years of outside sales experience on the millwork or similar industry.

Deep knowledge about Millwork and specialty products.

The ability to earn new skills, identify obstacles, and determine solutions from multiple angles.

Candidates with experience in Custom millwork sales are preferred but not required.

On-the-job training is available, and for employees without prior millwork experience will be required.

Candidates must be able to use email and have basic computer literacy.

Personality and Character Traits

Must be approachable, easy to converse with, and possess the ability to put others at ease.

Capable of accomplishing tasks through formal channels and the informal networks ·
