Job DescriptionResponsibilities include working on assigned projects with direct oversight by assigned mentor while performing inspection, repair, installation, and servicing of stationary and mobile equipment. In addition, this position will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment ensuring the work is performed in accordance with the OJT guide and all relevant codes and safety standards. Must complete the company provided 4 year Penn Foster Apprenticeship Program. Annual increases are eligible on anniversary date upon successful review of necessary criteria. Job Responsibilities In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor perform inspection, repair, installation and servicing of stationary and mobile equipment In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor repair and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, cables, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and air conditioners In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor examine mechanical equipment to diagnose issues In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor disassembles machinery and repairs or replaces broken parts In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary, including cleaning and lubrication of parts In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor orders replacement parts In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor inspects completed repairs In a training capacity and under the guidance of an OJT monitor/mentor requisitions new parts and equipmentJob Requirements: High School Graduate or GED equivalency Must complete and successfully pass basic skills aptitude testing.
