Job Summary: The Millwright has direct responsibility for providing maintenance support to a group of locations/facilities.The position is responsible for the up-keep of the facility which includes equipment repair and overall maintenance.Heavy travel is required. Essential Job Functions:Repair/assist in repair of equipment and machinery at facility locationsReplace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving partsPerform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipmentOperate maintenance hand and power toolsPosition steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment using blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresInstall new equipment, fabricate and weld as necessaryMove machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucksWork within company safety guidelinesComply with the organization's EHS Policy and all other EHS practices, programs and proceduresComplete required EHS System and EHS Management system training successfullyParticipate in the EHS Management System by reporting incidents or near missesAttend healthy and safety meetings, reporting problems and recommend improvementsInform supervisor or instructor of any safety hazards, environmental issues or system deficiencies in the workplaceDemonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignmentsOther Job Functions:Other duties as assignedQualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:Ability to work and interact well with others0-5 years' experience as millwright or maintenance department experience preferredStrong skills in fabrication and weldingExperience with hydraulics and electronics a plusAccreditations in the field or a trade school a plusSpecial Demands:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, kneel, and benExposure to moderate to loud noise within the work environment.Exposure to heavy concentrations of grain dust.Ability to frequently move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.Ability to frequently wear personal protective equipment correctly, including respirators, fall protection, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.Ability to climb stairs and ladders.Ability to comfortably work at heights of approximately 200 ft.Ability to work in outdoor work environment, including various climates, weather conditions, and inclement weather, approximately 80% of the time.Ability to perform all job responsibilities with necessary special demands for up to 8 hours per day.
