About the Role As a mine production tech 2, you will perform all Haul Truck Operators primary duties and can be trained on a water truck or small loader. If so, then you are the kind of person that we are looking for. __ Qualifications Mine Production Technician 3• Have Mine Production Technician 1 and 2 skillsSafe and skilled operation of Rubber-tired Dozers• Safely operating equipment near production loading equipment• Assisting production loading equipment with site clean-up and floor maintenance• Identification and mitigation of mine road hazards• Drainage system management• Peer operator training• Maintain haul road berms• Maintain and rebuild dig setsQualified by passing a skills test on a minimum of 2 of the following:Operation of auxiliary loaders• Safely operating equipment near production loading equipment• Assisting production loading equipment with site clean-up and floor maintenance• Maintenance and construction of pit berms• Identification and mitigation of mine road hazards• Drainage system management• Crusher pocket support• Road maintenance rock screening• Peer operator trainingOperation of motor graders• Maintenance of mine roads• Maintaining road crown and grade• Drill pattern preparation• Drainage system management• Peer operator trainingOperation of track dozers• Safe and efficient dump and stockpile management• Construction of mine roads and other projects• Drill pattern preparation• Pioneering of new roads and accesses• Floor maintenance3• Key cutting• Operating trailer-transport systems• Peer operator trainingOperation of production drills• Safe and efficient drill pad management• Understanding of drilling procedures and strategy• Operation of on-board drill automation technologies• Efficient use of fuel and drilling consumables• Multi-string drilling• Angle drilling• Proper collaring and hole depth quality metrics• Operating trailer-transport systems• Peer operator trainingMay also be required to train on:• ExcavatorPhysical Demands of the Role • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces. • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity. • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
