Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to provides coordination and oversight of all domestic air and ground, as well as import and export shipments at gateway, including shipment and document preparation, booking, coordination of customs clearance, and pick-up and delivery in a 24/7/365 environment

The schedule for this role isMonday to Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm.

This is a fully remote position, and we welcome candidates based anywhere within the United States

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate domestic and/or international shipments based on client requirements, via phone and email, ensuring coverage of assigned shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Coordination with agents, carriers, and brokers to procure scheduling and rates, as well as administration of these activities.
  • Routing of shipments and preparation of pre-alert documentation
  • Booking of all air and ground shipments with appropriate agent/carrier
  • Coordinates pick-up and delivery of shipments with shipper/consignee.
  • Enters all shipments and related information into the applicable TMS as required in a timely manner ensuring milestones are available in real-time.
  • Follow up on all shipments to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Validate that critical connections are made.
  • React to any delays to keep shipments moving.
  • Update clients and others (sales, CRR's, etc.) of changes in status. Document preparation specific to a given shipment, including but not limited to BOL, MAWB, HAWB, Commercial Invoice, and Certification of Origin.
  • Develop pricing and routing for ground, NFO air freight including cargo airlines, passenger airlines, chartered aircraft, deferred air freight, OBC.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, agents, and carriers. Prepare competitive and market-based solutions.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, as required.
  • As a 24/7/365 operation, have a willingness to be flexible with scheduling and available to respond to and meet customer needs outside of traditional working hours.
Experience
  • 1-year previous experience in logistics (domestic, import and export procedures).
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word/Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change in a high stress environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
Education

Bachelor's degree and/or a min of 3 years of position-related, logistics experience is required

To support laws for California, Washington and New York residents, the base pay range for this role is $56,072 - $67,987. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on various factors such as job-related knowledge, and relevant skills and experience.
