Overview The Mobile Market (MM) Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of the daily operations of the Mobile Market. This position will work directly with the Mobile Services Manager to coordinate daily staffing, produce procurement, food sales and invoices, collection and analyzing of data, monitor client feedback, and offer innovative ideas to marketing and outreach. This position will also work directly with local farms/gardens to procure fresh produce to offer on the MM as well as work with other grocers to bring various items to the MM that can be distributed to residents around the county. The MM Coordinator will be the primary driver of the vehicle and work with Carle's Mobile Services Safety Specialist to maintain safety and compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies. This staff member needs to hold excellent customer service skills and effective communication, both verbal and written, and have ability to work with a diverse population. Qualifications CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Driver's License upon hire and Proof of Auto Insurance upon hire and ANSI Accredited Food Handler Certification within 30 days and Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) within 30 days. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Community OutreachFood ServiceFood Inventory/Ordering SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE This staff member needs to have high levels of customer service experience and have comfort working with diverse populations. Possess good communication skills both verbal and written and work well on a team. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily operations of the Vermilion Mobile Market including staffing, driving, food sales, produce pick up and distribution.
  • Operates as the primary driver and staff member of the Vermilion Mobile Maret. This includes, but not limited to, accountability for cash reconciliation, inventory and ordering both food and supplies, mitigating customer service issues, and assisting with daily operations.
  • Helps to maintain the vehicle, including cleaning and fueling, and will perform vehicle checks and logs.
  • Coordinate the pick up, loading, distribution, storage and composting of all produce for the Mobile Market
  • Develop partnerships with local farms, gardens, other agencies that will aid in the produce procurementt, operations, marketing and growth of the Mobile Market.
  • Works directly with Mobile Health Service Manager to develop data points and method of collecting data for tracking. This will include produce inventory, amount of produce distributed, donated, and ensuring food is not passed expiration date.
  • Works with Mobile Health Services Safety Specialist to ensure safety of the vehicle and that all inspections, license plate sticker are all up to date for use. Will also help to oversee the driving records of all MM drivers to ensure that the vehicle is safely operated by qualified and licensed driver.
