POSITION SCOPE:
Establish and maintain process parameters to fulfill daily production schedules, minimize scrap, and maximize equipment availability.
QUALITY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITY:
The Mold Technician has the responsibility to initiate action to prevent product non-conformity, identify and record quality problems, recommend and implement solutions, verify implementation, identify and dispose of scrap properly, and report deficiencies to supervisor.
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Act in compliance with the company Health & Safety policies and procedures including any applicable legislation.
* Notify the appropriate personnel of any situation or condition that may contribute to product non-conformity.
* Comply with the Environmental Policy and contribute to its goals and objectives accordingly.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Check with previous shift to verify production schedule and current process parameters.
* Check production schedule for mold and/or material changes.
* Perform mold and/or material changes as specified or required.
* Verify current process parameters before production continues.
* Perform gage and/or weight checks to validate process capability.
* Complete assigned paperwork as appropriate.
* Other duties or tasks as assigned or required.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
2 year (or higher) technical degree or equivalent work experience in plastics/automotive manufacturing.
