PURPOSE OF JOBRun the molding equipment in order to produce quality products at optimal machine efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare molding machine for operation by cleaning work area, organizing tools, and reviewing documentation.
- Operate machine, monitors output quality to ensure that product produced meets with NeedleTech quality system standards.
- Follow all product handling procedures; handles product with care.
- Use inspection microscope and toolmakers microscope to verify workmanship of product.
- Monitor output during shift to ensure that standard run rates are achieved.
- Alert floor technician, work leader or supervisor of any problems with machine and/or quality of product produced.
- Complete all associated documentation required (work travelers, output logs, etc.) per NeedleTech Standard Operating Procedures.
- Communicate pass down information if pertinent to job assignment.
- Clean, organize work area upon completion of shift.
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:- Previous experience operating an injection mold machine is preferred.This position would require 6 to 12 months to learn the operation of equipment and machinery used by the department and apply basic to moderate levels of measuring tool and microscope skills.
POSITION SKILLS:- Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift
- Perform related tasks as needed by following verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to comprehend drawings and use measuring equipment as needed.
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to perform minor repairs/changeovers when needed if trained and experienced to execute this function.
