Position SummaryProvides technical leadership of the plant's injection molding operations and its injection mold tool preventive maintenance and repair activities.Responsibilities
- Main technical resource for molding process issues.
- Maintain all process and tooling documentation in compliance with IATF-16949
- Program and setup process controls for all molding machines and robots.
- Training of process technicians using TI training standards and documentation.
- Provide technical assistance in 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis relating to molding process.
- Coordinate mold repairs and PM's with inhouse mold repair resources and external tools shops.
- Training of tooling technicians using TI training standards and documentation.
- Participate in design review, quoting, vendor selection, ordering, build tracking, sampling, and coordinate corrections of all new mold tooling
- Participate in design review, quoting, vendor selection, ordering, and tracking build all new molding equipment.
- Lead the design and construction of Automation Cells in the Molding Area.
- Track and maintain spare parts inventory for injection mold tools.
- Interface with external Molded Component Suppliers for Best Practices, track and/or review new tool builds, and conduct Supplier Audits.
- Maintain PM records and review condition of all TI Fluid Systems owned tooling.
- Participate in identification and implementation of cost savings initiatives.
- Maintain 100% Poke-Yoke effectiveness in the Molding Department
- Attend all meetings as scheduled and required.
- Other work as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Technical Field or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements
- Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) Core Tools - Preferred
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching and climbing stairs
- Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
- Pushing or pulling up to 100-200 lbs
- Use of hands and legs
- Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conversation
- Ability for rapid manual/muscular coordination simultaneously involving wrist/hands/fingers
- Vision: depth perception and distinguish basic colors

Working Conditions
- Works inside within an automotive component manufacturing setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- Noise: intermittent above 85dcb with vibration
- Occasionally work with chemicals, grease, oils, machinery with moving parts, moving vehicles, hands in water, alone and more than 40 hours
