Job Description :
SUMMARY
  • Performs machining, fitting, welding, polishing and various operations to produce and/or modify rotational molds of varying complexity and size.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works from blueprints, engineering designs, sketches, specific written and/or verbal instructions from supervisor.
  • Operates all machines and equipment necessary to machine and weld ferrous and non-ferrous metals, casts and fabricates routine parts using cut-off saw, basic welding equipment, lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinding, polishing equipment and hand tools.
  • Assembles mold components to specifications. Uses hand and/or power tools to file, blend, deburr, and polish.
  • Checks dimensions and fits; uses measuring devices, vernier caliper, micrometers, height gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Maintains established quality and quantity standards. Follows prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.
  • Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Maintains daily production and other records as required.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Qualifications include:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in metal fabrication.
  • Must have 1 years experience MIG and/or TIG welding.
  • Must have ability to effectively operate manual lathes and vertical machining centers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • .AWS certification

  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physicalactivities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standardphysical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
