The Mortgage Loan Processor assists AMOCO in achieving its mission of serving the financial needs of our members by verifying information in all loan files submitted to processing, ordering third-party services (i.e. title work, surveys, insurance, VOEs, pre-close credit reports, invoices, etc.) and documents needed to complete the files, updating information on the loan origination (LOS) and imaging systems during the mortgage loan process. Essential Functions and Duties20% Serves as a contact for members, sellers, realtors, and title companies that are involved in loan file; notifies and works closely with them to resolve any problems that may arise.15% Reviews and verifies the credit application for creditworthiness in compliance with AMOCO policies, secondary market guidelines, and private mortgage insurance requirements.15% Obtains and reviews all documentation in conjunction with income, employment, and asset verification required by the approving mortgage loan underwriter.10% Updates loan files within the loan origination system as necessary to ensure consistent processes of completed tasks assigned.10% Prepares the file for underwriters' review and decision. Completes all tasks and responsibilities required to clear the approval conditions as determined by the mortgage loan underwriter.10% Determines if any additional information is needed from members to successfully process the loan, orders updated credit reports when necessary, orders appraisals through third-party appraisal management company, orders title commitments and/or title searches, requests survey quotes from surveyors, sources large deposits, completes verification of employment and verification of mortgage, and updates loan origination system with appropriate data when informed and/or forms are returned.10% Manages all assigned loans in their respective pipeline while working within stated timelines reported in real estate contracts as well as management established turnaround times.10% Performs other related duties as assigned.Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.Commitment to provide excellent customer service while using Member Service & Loyalty Skills: Focus on Member, Maintain/Enhance Self-Esteem, Listen, Maintain Personal Responsibility, Manage Complaints and Resolve Problems.
