Job description
The Motion Editor & Producer, Creative Services primary objective is to manage all video editing and post production for motion content while maintaining Harry Winston's exemplary standards for all assets produced. Responsibilities include collaborating with Marketing, Digital Marketing and Public Relations, as well as managing external vendors. The role requires both creative concepting and technical execution of motion projects. The Motion Editor & Producer will work closely with and report to Director, Creative Services.
Key Duties
- Take initiative as a member of the creative team, offering and executing ideas to incorporate video and motion graphics into more aspects of the brand
- Collaborate with design team to concept compelling video content. Advise on best practices for motion content creation
- Assist design team in storyboard generation
- Oversee and advise on set for video content
- Edit top-tier video content incorporating a blend of video footage, text, graphics, photos, animations, and other creative elements in Adobe Premiere
- Maintain organized premiere project structure. Ingest footage. String out selects. Create multi versioned timelines closely following creative. Incorporate text and graphic elements. Export, compress, and distribute rounds for feedback. Live edit with designers, or department heads when desired. Resize videos for all social platforms
- Manage and organize all video assets; raw footage, transcodes, finals and generics
- Transcode, conform and color prep footage in Davinci Resolve ensuring smooth handoffs of projects to external vendors for color, VFX, retouching and finish
- Assist in creation of graphics and motion graphics when necessary in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
- Manage Post-Production of all brand collateral for website, out of home, and all social media platforms.
- Plan and manage all phases of video post-production for all creative projects, including: OOH, and all social media platforms
- Develop, monitor and maintain post-production timelines; manage and reconcile project and department budgets
- Manage the project implementation from approved concept to prototype, and final deliverables for both still and motion assets
- Daily trafficking of footage, audio, project files, and graphics from external vendors to internal teams and vise versa
- Source multiple vendors, negotiate estimates and competitive pricing, and manage vendor once confirmed
- Manage the acquiring of the final approval from stake holders on all motion project
- Responsible for all retouching, or motion markups along with Creative Designer assigned to project
- Manage all footage and storage
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of high-end advertising/luxury goods experience required
- 3+ in house creative or agency experience
- Portfolio of relevant work required
- Expert experience producing color critical, high-end materials, and video post
- Strong experience and working knowledge of production methods and techniques
- Experience managing high-end retouching. Provide precise creative feedback and retouching markups
- Strong experience in project management; developing timelines; and managing budgets
- Excellent understanding of motion post production, live action and animated
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, and Adobe programs
- Capacity to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects
- Expert technical knowledge and experience in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Davinci Resolve
- Expert knowledge of industry best practices for motion content creation
- On set experience
