Job DescriptionAt Motion Industries, Material Handlers are key members of our team. While shipping, receiving, and processing orders for the Distribution Centers, they ensure customers receive the correct products on time.ResponsibilitiesAdheres to established safety, health, and environmental policies and proceduresUtilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS) to receive and process products for placement into Distribution Center (DC) inventory or for shipment of cross dock items Verifies that the product and quantity received matches the advanced ship notice (ASN) Utilizes Company Operating System (COS and WMS to process orders to be shipped to Branch, Customer or DCVerifies that the product into appropriate shipping container for shipment to Branch, Customer or DCPrepares packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documents as neededConsolidates specific Branch shipments from multiple order processing zones for processing as neededEnsures warehouse work areas and equipment are clean, orderly and properly maintainedEnsures all orders are processed accurately and timelyReplenishes primary stock shelves from reserve stock locations as needed Interacts with other DC employees to resolve any problems with customer orders Interacts with external couriers and truck drivers to ensure product is efficiently transferred to and from shipping vehiclesQualificationsReliable, organized, attentive to detail, and committed to high quality work productivity Ability to regularly stand, walk and lift; occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawlBasic computer skills, including information processing required May need to be certified to operate a forklift and/or other mobile equipment May need to be certified to handle hazardous material shipmentsAbility to regularly stand, walk, talk or hearAbility to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawlAbility to regularly lift an/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and./or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds, with assistance as necessaryVision abilities include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMay need valid drivers license and good driving recordHigh School diploma or equivalent.
