Responsibilities:

The MRI Technologist is responsible for the performance of all aspects of MR imaging, accurately and in accordance with established procedures and policies in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients of all groups. Follows all regulatory guidelines and MRI safety precautions, working with the MRSO and MRMD. Maintains professional standards of conduct an ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Contributes to total patient care by accessing pertinent patient information, processes images, assures correct images, accurate billing and file documentation, records information related to exams into department computer system. Performs other activities in support of clinical team members when not engaged in imaging activities.

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience

  • Current NJ State License.
  • Effective July 1, 2017 ARMRIT/ARRT in MRI certification is required.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.
  • Certificate in Venipuncture required.
  • Must be a graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program or ARMIT MRI course.
  • At least 2 years? experience as an MRI Technologist Preferred.
