Description:The North Central Consortium School is currently accepting applications for a MS/HS Math Teacher. NCCS is a consortium of 28 member school districts, serving as an alternative setting for students in grades K-12, and is a part of the Manson Northwest Webster Community School District. The North Central Consortium School assists students who would benefit from an alternative setting that provides additional support for their social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. We provide a high staff to student ratio and small class sizes in order to best meet the individual needs of our students.Job Summary:To facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district and state approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment at school; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations and goals.Primary Responsibilities:
- Must have good communication skills, be flexible, and patient.
- Have an understanding of a Trauma Informed instructional approach
- Strive to build strong and positive relationships with assigned students and families
- Knowledgeable of the MTSS framework
- Develops and administers approved curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Develops lesson plans to maximize learning opportunities in order to meet the needs of all learners
- Provides meaningful feedback of student learning, and differentiates instruction to meet individual needs.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction that are aligned to building and district goals.
- Organizes and maintains accurate records, grades, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.
