Museum Assistant - Regular Part Time - Town of Yucca Valley California : Job Details

Under general supervision, the museum assistant performs a wide variety of duties related to museum operations, customer service, and educational programs/events that support the Hi-Desert Nature Museum's mission. Museum Assistants are the public face of the museum and vital to behind-the-scenes operations. Applicants should be professional, personable, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidate will work directly with the public and must be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to the community, visitors, and staff. The work schedule for this position is varied and requires applicants that are flexible and committed to working varying shifts Tuesdays through Saturdays with occasional evening shifts. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED May exercise technical and functional supervision over temporary staff or volunteer workers.
