Wintergreen was named a School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America. The vision at Wintergreen is to provide all students with a safe and nurturing environment that immerses each student in the arts, grounds them in restorative behaviors, and engages their minds to ensure academic and personal success . Grade level teams work collaboratively to plan out content and to build skills that support the examination of themes throughout each subject area. Teachers who have a professional background in the arts, project-based learning, social-emotional learning, theater, and/or STEAM education would be a great addition to the program. The ideal candidate is well acquainted with the key components of restorative practices, music and vocal instruction, and arts integration. QualificationsEndorsement, Education & Experience Requirements:

• Successful candidates must possess strong teaching qualities, care deeply for children and have good classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Experience teaching elementary or middle grade students and a proven record of accomplishment of instructing diverse learners desired.
• Endorsement: CT State Certification 049 required
