Nanny Wanted - The P Family Seeking Child Care - Nanny Lane : Job Details

Need childcare for infant, starting after the holidays (January 2025). 6 hours per day, Monday thru Friday. NO weekends, NO major holidays. Paid time-off included. $275 per week (based on experience and qualifications). MUST have up-to-date knowledge on appropriate & safe childcare, as well as basic knowledge on child development. My child should be engaged the entire time he is awake; songs, reading picture books, practice sitting up, tummy time, etc. Toys, books, and materials will be supplied. NO smokers; if I smell any type of smoke (cigarettes or weed) I will have no choice but to dismiss you, for the health of my child. Clothes should not have any smoke residue on them. Must have good hygiene (clean hands, clean fingernails, clean hair) and follow proper coughing/sneezing protocol (cover mouth/nose when coughing & sneezing, into elbow or armpit). Check baby's diaper every hour. Must be able to handle an infant's crying (babies are going to cry); must be able to remain calm and comforting when baby is crying. Be familiar with baby's hunger cues and and signs of over-tiredness. Please no yelling around my baby; use a soft, calm, soothing voice. Must handle baby very gently; no grabbing by limbs, no shaking or jerky motions. Only calm and gentle rocking. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. You will NOT be expected to cook, clean, or drive anywhere (except to and from work). Pets are in the home, but you will NOT need to provide any care for the pets. The main/only focus should be on providing care for my child. Background check required. Interview required.
