The National Accounts Manager is a role that has division wide impact. More specifically, you will have responsibility and opportunity to:

  • Be an advocate for the customer. Understanding client needs and building strong trusting relationships is a cornerstone of our business. The Strategic National Accounts Manager will develop and maintain excellent knowledge of our business, offerings, competitors and industry.
  • Identify specific product and service opportunities to increase existing and develop new business.
  • Develop and present new program opportunities and facilitate connection of offerings with key decision makers.
  • Continually grow comparable revenue, and our share with the assigned customers.
  • Communicate and specifically coach our branches on how to develop and grow business.
  • Analyze customer business, identify and execute improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key decision makers, influencers and leadership of assigned customers.
  • Facilitate the relationship development with key Building Materials Distribution Division (BMD) leadership and field associates.
  • Communicate with other division associates as necessary to improve BMD processes and knowledge with the customer.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: College Degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working Conditions include minimal physical exertion; will require 30 - 40% travel.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with managing large accounts. Successful applicant typically has more than 10 years of experience in sales and related job function; or experience in the building materials industry. Prefer a strong team leader with business acumen and ability to collaborate with teams.
