Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the company's strategic growth by acquiring new customers, expanding market share in key sectors, and launching new products, services, and potential subscription offerings.
- Lead and oversee the execution of marketing strategies, business development, partnerships, and product/service initiatives.
- Identify and target new retail, B2B, and end-user customers across key markets that align with the company's strategic goals, and convert these opportunities into tangible growth outcomes.
- Manage and mentor a team of 4 sales representatives, taking a hands-on approach to scaling both the team and the P&L.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with third-party organizations that align with the company's direction and values to meet commercial objectives.
- Collaborate on shaping product offerings for target market sectors by assessing the existing portfolio against customer needs, identifying market gaps, and creating solutions that leverage the company's capabilities to drive customer value and improve competitive positioning.
- Analyze market opportunities (e.g., identifying 5-10 relevant SKUs for a specific industry like a brewery from a portfolio of 300 SKUs) and effectively apply instrumentation solutions across diverse sectors.
- Develop a rolling 12-month marketing plan, including key events, trade shows, and promotional activities.

Profile
Requirements:
- Strong scientific background in areas such as Biology, Chemistry, pH Science, Food Science, Agricultural Science, or similar fields, with a solid understanding of instrumentation.
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in sales.
- A motivated individual ready to take the next step in their career by managing people, accounts, and proactively driving growth.
- Must be able to understand and adhere to P&L reports (while an accounting team will assist in creating them), with the ability to manage budgets and focus on both revenue growth and profit margin improvement.
- Looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on role, not a high-level executive position, and is eager to build and advance their career through direct contributions.
