The Natural Helper will coordinate services to ensure that the children are living in a safe environment and integrating well into their new community. The Natural Helper will assist the caseworker in connecting them to appropriate services and resources. Travel within Miami-Dade County. This is a part time position.Major Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Ensure clients are properly enrolled in the programs internal intake system (Trust Central)* Assist with accepting referrals, managing active cases, and contacting sponsors and families as directed by assigned caseworker* Maintain data on all clients enrolled in the program and all dismissed clients, including actions taken with youth, sponsor, and referring organization in the form of progress/case notes* Assist with filing, closing, and with overall daily maintenance of records found in either the physical case file and/or on Trust Central* Assist with managing and updating resource spreadsheet* Assist program staff with preparing home visit documentation including locating case specific resources/services prior to a scheduled home visit* Assist with making referrals to partnering organizations* Attend all organizational required trainings* Assist with the submission of monthly stabilization fund and Contributions In-kind (CIK) reports, and quarterly unduplicated client reports* Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Key Working Relationships: Position reports to Program CoordinatorPosition Requirements:* Excellent communication and writing skills* Required - Bilingual ability in English and Spanish* Organized with attention to detail* Able to work independently and under pressure* Creativity and initiative to follow through on projects* Strong desire to help people and enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural setting* Computer literacy - preferably with PC systems* Valid driver's license, reliable access to an insured vehicle.Education: Must pass a background check, High school diploma or equivalent required.Work Experience:* Relevant professional experience in human services field preferred.Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:* Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.* Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.* Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.* Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.* Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in Spanish is desired.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.* Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.Working Environment:* A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and 'field' time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.* Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up to 10%.* May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
