Minimum to Market Pay Range ($77,670 - $97,080): For new hires to the position and the District, pay generally starts at the minimum, though qualifications and experience may be considered. Increases within this range occur over time based on demonstrated proficiency and satisfactory performance. Midpoint to Max Pay Range ($97,080 - $116,500): Pay above the midpoint to the maximum is typically reserved for employees with sustained performance and established longevity in the position at the District. Job Duties GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: As a Network Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and integrity of our telecommunications network. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring seamless operations for the District's voice, data, and wireless services while providing essential support for all network-related functions. Join us in creating a robust and stable network experience that keeps our community connected Some of what you might do day to day: Configure, monitor and manage the District's networking infrastructure, ensuring proper performance and reliability. Assist in managing all network and physical security solutions. Provision ONTs, switches, and other devices for deployment in the District's telecommunications network. Provide technical support for the District's telecommunications infrastructure. Assist with analyzing, designing, and implementing new equipment and network topologies. Assist in the maintenance of the District's server infrastructure. Support our Microsoft endpoint configuration management system, which includes using Intune. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Here is what we are looking for: An Associate's Degree in Networking or Computer Science with at least two (2) years of experience working in information technology. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying. Strong technical understanding of LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, subnetting, and DNS. Relevant network and certification(s) are preferred. Demonstrates positive interpersonal and customer service skills to courteously deal with and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other District employees, outside vendors and the public. Ability to work in a multi-task work environment, with constant interruptions and distractions while maintaining and meeting strict deadlines for projects. Attention to detail and strong organizational and analytical skills with a basic knowledge of arithmetic required. Ability to maintain confidentiality of restricted or private information and records and effectively handle sensitive matters.
