Vivid is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join their clients small but growing IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure. The role requires a deep understanding of network protocols, hardware, and security, as well as a strong problem-solving ability. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of our network systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Administration: Configure, maintain, and support the company's local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
- Network Security: Implement and manage network security protocols and tools, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of network systems.
- Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain networking hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points, as well as network cabling.
- Performance Monitoring: Use network monitoring tools to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide on-site support for end-users regarding network-related issues and perform routine system updates and patches to ensure network security and stability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to support integrated solutions, including cloud infrastructure, and other technology initiatives.
- Project Support: Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new network technologies.
- On-Site Presence: Work on-site to provide immediate support and ensure proper network function within the organization's facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, including network design, configuration, and support.
- CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is required.
- Solid understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong experience with network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
- Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies (e.g., VPN, IDS/IPS, Firewalls).
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
- US Citizenship is required (no visa sponsorship available).
- Must be able to work on-site at the company's location.
