Job Description :

The role of the Network and Systems Administrator is to ensure the management and day-to-day operation of networks, data centers and remote server infrastructures for all SOPREMA subsidiaries in North America. It applies security best practices, ensures the updating, maintenance and compliance of systems and equipment at all sites in Canada, USA, South America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. This NA role is located at our US Headquarters in Wadsworth, OH, is a member of and will work directly with our international infrastructure team lead by our European colleagues ensuring company policies and practices are maintained.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Install, monitor, and maintain LAN and WAN networks.
  • Manage networking equipment (routers, switches, access points).
  • Install, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
  • Ensure compliance across all technologies and sites in Canada, USA, South America, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Ensure storage and backup management.
  • Ensure the security of the computer network.
  • Respond to requests escalated by the technical support team.
  • Coordinate the work of external consultants in the execution of certain tasks.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation around deployed equipment and systems.
  • Ability to think and respond quickly, adjust schedules and operating plans in response to unplanned events.
  • Manage individual projects as assigned including planning, timelines, status updates, and completion of objectives.
  • Build and maintain consultant/vendor relationships
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in computer science including all specialized certifications
  • 7-10 years of experience in similar role
  • Master TCPIP; Active Directory, DNS, VPN, DHCP, GPO.
  • Experience with large remote network architectures.
  • Master virtualization (VMware) and storage technologies.
  • Master Cisco/Meraki technologies, CCNA a plus
  • Master of O365 environment
  • Microsoft Server environment.
  • Structured problem-solving mindset
  • Methodical and rigorous
  • Superior communicator & team player
  • Experience in a large corporate context a plus.
  • Experience in project management and delivery a plus.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional travel is required
  • Occasionally requires work outside of normal hours

Reports to the NA IT Infrastructure Manager (CA) with a dotted line reporting to NA IT Support Manager (US).
