Job Title: Network/IT SpecialistLocation: Billings, MTJob Type: Full-TimeExperience Level: Mid-Level (3-5 years)Our Operations Team is currently in search of a full-time, experienced Network/IT Specialist located in Billings, Montana. The successful candidate will have a solid background in networking, routing, and switching, with provable experience working within the Microsoft Windows server environment. Candidate should be resourceful, a team player, and someone who can multi-task.Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, servers, workstations, and IP phones.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Provide support to both internal operations staff as well as contracted organizations via email, chat, and phone.
• Ensure security with adherence to policy when it comes to understanding and assigning user permissions or other access based on approved policies.
• Maintain data integrity by understanding the enterprise backup process.
• Develop and present training to staff on new technologies.
• Create and maintain technical documentation & manuals per IT policies.
• Create and track all support and project activities within the current ticketing system.

Requirements:

• Proven experience configuring and supporting networking and computer equipment.
• Knowledge of system security, patch management, and data backup/recovery methodologies.
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
• Have knowledge of networking terminology and concepts.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A combination of experience and professional certifications can also be considered in lieu of the formal education requirement. Banking, financial services background, vendor certifications are a plus.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Minimum 3 years of prior work experience in Network and/or Windows Administration.
• Working knowledge of multiple technology areas including network switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN.
• Working knowledge of the Windows operating and networking system.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail when creating technical documentation.
• Knowledge about banking compliance and the regulatory responsibilities around information security best practices required.
• Positive attitude, customer oriented, and good communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent project and time management skills.
• Proven ability to function as a team member for multiple simultaneous activities.
• Preferred basic networking or operating systems certifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND CONDITIONS:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Some travel is required.
• Work unpredictable hours including weekends and holidays.
• Work a scheduled Saturday shift on a rotational basis.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Consistently operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printers.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud due to the computer systems in the facility.
• Must express or exchange ideas and meaning with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and vendors.
