Seeking a Contract Network Security Engineer for our Client located in Irvine, CA A Network Security Engineer is responsible for conducting security assessments and ensuring the integrity of an organization's network infrastructure. They must have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and hold appropriate certifications in network security.The main responsibilities of a network security engineer include:
- Conducting security assessments: They perform thorough assessments of the organization's network infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities, potential risks, and areas of improvement. This includes analyzing network configurations, assessing security controls, and conducting penetration testing.
- Managing network security devices: They configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), and other network security devices to ensure optimal performance and protection.
- Monitoring and responding to security incidents: They continuously monitor the network for any suspicious activities or breaches. In the event of a security incident, they investigate and respond promptly to minimize the impact and prevent further unauthorized access.
