Staffing Reason Institutional Primary ResponsibilitiesDepartment: Office of Information Technology Primary Responsibilities Purpose of Job: Works with the Director of Network Services to support the installation and maintenance of network infrastructure technology. This person will work with OIT staff to reliably deliver network connectivity across all SRSU campuses. Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and tools. - Install, service, and support desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia systems. - Develop training and troubleshooting documentation. - Engage in personal education, training, and staff development activities. - Provide user application support and training. - Assist in inventory management. - Communicate issues and concerns expressed by end users. Supervision: direct supervision from Director of Networking Services, Paula Arredondo, for day to day instruction. Paula Arredondo will also act as the Staff Mentor within the Title III STEM Internship Program. STEM Internship Program: This position is part of the Title III STEM Lobotrack to Success (LTS) SRSU STEM Internship Program. Along with the normal job duties, the student will learn from the faculty supervisor about the STEM workforce, different career pathways, research, and more. Students will gain knowledge, experience, and professional connections in the STEM field. Students will have access to professional development tools throughout the internship program (resume building, interview practices, etc.).
