Our client is currently seeking a **Network Technician** to join their team for a **remote** position.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Patch and update hardware, operating systems, and applications to ensure security compliance requirements are met
+ Research detected vulnerabilities before applying mitigations and / or hotfixes
+ Manage and maintain network security monitoring tools
+ Implement and enforce security best practices on endpoints within the infrastructure
+ Support the cybersecurity team with identifying and investigating security threats in the network
+ Provide assistance with security audits and compliance reviews in collaboration with the cybersecurity team
+ Investigate and resolve tickets / cases escalated from the cybersecurity team regarding infrastructure security topics
+ Interact with Service Desk and other teams, providing support on cloud-related inquiries
+ Document processes and procedures for future references
+ Perform other duties as assigned
**Skills and Responsibilities:**
+ Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology, Systems Administration, or similar majors
+ A+, Security +, Network + or GFACT certifications
+ CCNA or equivalent certification
+ Minimum 5+ years of experience in infrastructure administration including Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Google Apps, with some familiarity in managing legacy systems
+ Expertise in medium to large enterprise systems infrastructure
+ Familiarity with various modern operating systems and platforms (Microsoft Windows, GNU / Linux, Chrome OS, IOS, Android, etc.)
+ Proven experience and working knowledge with virtual machines, networking technologies (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VOIP and VPN) and server components
+ Good knowledge of the AWS Cloud Platform
+ Excellent communication skills and good team spirit
+ Dynamic, flexible, and customer oriented
+ Have an exceptional analytical mind, be conscientious, and methodical
+ Be autonomous, responsible, and organized and show initiative
+ Demonstrate a high aptitude for problem solving
+ Must have superb priority management skills and demonstrate the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
+ Understanding of the CIA triad (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability) and Information Security preferred
+ Experience working with security teams like Security Operations and Incident Response to ensure operational security preferred
+ Experience with scripting and automation tools preferred
+ Experience with Engineering applications preferred
