Job Description Required Education: • A High School diploma or GED is required. Requirements: • Document Management Assistant Requisition (Mailroom Specialist) • A significant portion of the day is spent reviewing and categorizing documents, determining their type, and indexing them to the correct member's account. • Experience in reviewing medical claims and medical records would be highly preferred. They should be able to identify a claim form and/or distinguish between medical documentation and claims documents. • Document Management Assistant Qualifications • Six (6) months of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. • Mailroom and document management medical claims and medical records experience a plus • Good oral and written communication skills • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products • Strong organizational skill • Good interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies As a Document Management Assistant, you will be an important member of a dynamic team that provides cross-departmental support to members of the World Trade Center Health Program and be responsible for sorting medical documents and organizing them in a proprietary electronic management system.
