Newsletter and Operations Coordinator - Central Garden & Pet : Job Details

Description Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company is a leader in the lawn care industry. W e are looking to hire a Newsletter and Operations Coordinator to work in and support our large organization in Greenfield, MO. This role will be re sponsible for the development of communications, including newsletters to different audiences and numerous informational articles, assisting with internal training initiatives/projects, and other operational administrative duties as assigned. SHIFT DETAILS Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm LOCATION Greenfield, MO KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide monthly newsletter for employees to help communicate and encourage a positive work culture and keep employees informed of activities and company direction. Provide quarterly newsletter to fescue seed growers to promote best practices in seed production. Featured articles come from interviews with successful fescue seed growers, contact with Missouri Extension agents current in seed growers' issues, and current articles from other publications that have featured important topics. Schedules of upcoming workshops that will benefit growers and available resources are published. Produce the yearly calendar filled with important dates and tips on the successful production of Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue. Schedule employee training classes for areas including Leadership, continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and other specific skill improvements, and provide the information needed to receive grant money available for training reimbursement from Missouri Workforce Development. Continually looks for ways to present new ideas that are desirable and viable, and apply them to products, services, procedures, and processes. QUALIFICATIONS Highly proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Highly proficient writing and organizational skills Previous experience in creating and posting newsletters or articles online. Experience with Adobe InDesign program or other equivalent software Able to work in a large multi-functional organization. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred. Able to use a computer. WORKING CONDITIONS Full-time position in a manufacturing environment. The work environment may be dusty.
