Location Description: Michael Foods, Inc. located in Norwalk, Iowa is a southern suburb in the Des Moines, Iowa metropolitan area. We are known for knowing our neighbors and enjoying a great quality of life! Our location produces high quality precooked egg patties as well as various French Toast products. Responsibilities:SUMMARY:
This position performs process and production maintenance throughout the facility. Multi craft maintenance responsibilities which include but not be limited to equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative/precision maintenance programs and continuous improvements activities i.e. increasing machine reliability and installation of facility capital investments.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

Qualifications:EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
AA in related field, operations or applicable technical knowledge or degree/certification from trade school.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate oral/written and possess interpersonal skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distances.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to participate analytical, planning, problem-solving, and small project management skills.
