Non-CDL Water Truck/Leachate Driver - Waste Connections : Job Details

Finley Buttes Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a full time, safety minded Non-CDL Water Truck/Leachate Driver to work at our site in Boardman, Oregon.Schedule is Monday- FridayThis position requires Mandatory Every Other Saturday work.Shift is 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM- 5:00 PMStarting Wage is $25.12/HRSafety Sensitive Position: YESDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Ability to efficiently and safely operate off road truck, dump truck articulated dump truck.* Maintain dust control on all access roads, equipment haul roads and public dumping areas.* Maintain Leachate tank and/or sump pump levels.* Water and compact freshly placed dirt.* Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.* Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.* Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:* Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.* Ability to operate heavy equipment/water truck/off road truck and articulated dump truck experience is required.* Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.* Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Valid Class C Driver License REQUIRED.* Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.* Basic knowledge of computer skills.* Must have eligible motor vehicle report & background check and clean drug screen to be eligible for employment.WHAT WE OFFER:* Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits* 401K with matching* Boot Allowance of $200.00/year* Safety Bonus of up to $1,800/year* Uniforms and all Safety gear providedTo be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at www.wasteconnections.com.Application information and additional instructions can be found once you select your position of interest.We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term & short term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to Connect with Your Future .Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
