- Schedules non-emergency medical transportation services for patient and ensures that vehicles and drivers are available to meet the needs of the patients.
- Knowledge of the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS), Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), and American Indian Health Program (AIHP) to verify patient insurance eligibility, demographic status, appointments and to print provider referrals.
- Communicates with patients, healthcare providers, and transportation providers to ensure that all are aware of the schedule and any changes that may occur.
- Maintains accurate records of all transportation requests, including patient information, pick-up and drop-off times.
- Monitors transportation routes, makes real-time adjustments to accommodate changes or delays.
- Ability to identify coordination of health insurance benefits for New Mexico and Arizona with AHCCCS and AIHP.
- Ensures compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA standards.
- Knowledge of utilizing Maps software to create pin drop of location coordinates, navigate to residence and medical facility.
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to drivers to ensure they are well-informed on their assignments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation schedules, client details, and driver assignments.
- Create trip sheet assignments for transport drivers.
- Provide reports and analysis of transportation services to management and stakeholders.
- Meet quality standards and adhere to company policies.
- Implement improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the dispatch process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
