Non-ferrous laborer - Crow Wing Recycling : Job Details

The Non-Ferrous Laborer follows direction set by the on site Buyer/NF Manager. The essential functions may include, but not be limited to; Providing guidance to warehouse employees, review the process of grading scrap from both peddlers and industrial accounts and the oversight and negotiation of pricing for non-ferrous scrap. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Ensures the quality of scrap being purchased is up to standard. Entering data into the computer for paying customers and inventory purposes. Responsible for upgrading material when able and ensuring the product is to the cleanest standard. Ensures the weights being entered into the scrap purchasing system are accurate. Sorts material to sell as the correct commodity. Communicates via radio often with scale staff about vehicles that have dropped certain commodities off and any deducts from the loads before the customer is paid out. Communicate via radio with multiple people frequently about safety and any other appropriate radio communication to ensure an efficient work environment. Always respectfully and carefully assisting customers with getting unloaded. Safely and effectively loading and unloading various types of trailers with confidence when assigned. Keep equipment clean and safe for operation. Ensure the equipment is getting the maintenance attention it needs by keeping a list and notifying the appropriate people of any issues. Always treat customers with respect. Runs UBCS through the bailing system, ensures they are clean of any debris. Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
