Sign On BonusSalary - $31 - $33phAvailable Positions: *1 full-time nurse who can work Monday-Friday shift, 33 hours. *1 part-time nurse who can work 3 days (6 hours) a week. *1 temporary full-time nurse who can work Monday - Friday shift, 31 hours.This is a 10-month, 180-day school schedule (Sept-June) following the school schedule.For over 40 years, The Cooperative has been at the forefront of developing innovative strategies in maternal and child health care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining health records and documenting student health issues/events in accordance with New Jersey state law.Essential Functions:Maintains health records consistent with state and local requirements. * Provides emergency care for injuries and illness in the school as determined by the professional judgment of the nurse. * Administers medication/treatment to students as per specified approved written policy. * Performs health screenings as mandated by the state with referrals and follow up as needed. * Communicates with faculty, parents and students to serve the best interest of the students regarding health servicesActs as a resource person for students, their families and faculty. * Compiles reports related to services delivered in schools and submits reports to Nurse Coordinator. * Performs other duties as assigned.Requirements Registered Nurse licensed in the State of New JerseyCertification in School Nursing preferredCPR and BLS certifiedTwo years of school nursing experience preferredCulturally competent experience working with diverse populationsValid driver's license, car and current insurance policyPhysical Requirements:Must be able to see to read documents and hear well enough to communicate with othersMust be able to write, type on a computer, and use a telephoneMust be able to operate a motor vehicleMust be able to lift up to 20 poundsAdditional requirements to be determined with input from Director and HRReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work Environment:Travels regularly to sites where traffic, weather, and other environmental conditions may be encountered; otherwise works in a climate-controlled professional office environment generally free from hazards and other adverse working conditions.
