Our mission is to empower our customers to embrace their passions, and we're looking for passionate employees to join us on this journey of growth and innovation.Position Overview:As the Division Controller North America, you will play a pivotal role in developing our North America team consisting of the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and New Business divisions. This role will oversee production of our North America financials, develop our general ledger, accounts payable, leasing, and new business accounting teams as well as play a pivotal role in accounting across the department. As the leader of teams, you will drive a culture of growth and development by collaborating and driving with the team on plans that support the success of employees, customers, and our shareholders. This role will execute our financial processes consistent with the requirements of a publicly traded company while also optimizing operations and tackling new projects that help us grow. As a leader at Zumiez, you will develop partnerships across the Zumiez teams looking for opportunities to enhance our business functions and financials by bringing your financial acumen to benefit of the organization. This role will evaluate, plan, and drive financial results, identify opportunities to do process better. Ideal candidate enjoys a culture of empowerment and has the desire to develop a world class team around them to drive growth both personally and professionally.Responsibilities:Develop and oversee North America financial operations, including US, CA, New Platform, payroll, and accounts payable.Collaborate with business partners to review financial results and provide insights to leadership.Support business owners with meaningful analytics and reporting. Be part of business teams that work as a group to solve complex new business initiatives.Act as a liaison between accounting and business partners to ensure seamless coordination and emphasis on meeting financial goals and cost center management. Develop process improvements and special projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Develop and mentor the North America accounting team, fostering a culture of growth, empowerment and excellence.Drive the close process and delivering to our customer timely and accurate financials. Provide oversight and leadership to payroll operations with an emphasis on being customer centric while balancing compliance. Provide oversight and leadership to Accounts Payables with focus on supporting our brands, business partners and an eye for driving efficiency in process.
