Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center. (NAQC) is currently looking for a Team leader at Ann Arbor, MI office who will:
As a PT/EV group leader at the North American Quality Center, it is crucial to understand the organization's strategic goals and KPIs, collaborating with the team to continuously monitor and improve quality issues. Additionally, analyzing external indicators and customer data to resolve root causes, while enhancing the technical skills of team members to achieve quality objectives, is key to success

The ideal candidate is
* Ensure timely project completion and high-quality investigation results, particularly for IQS, VDS, and CR related to powertrain (PT) and electric vehicles (EV).
* Collaborate effectively with affiliates (HMNA, KMNA, HAC, KCA, HATCI, HMC, HMMA, KaGA, KMX, and suppliers).
* Achieve the division's 2024 plan and KPIs through collaboration and leadership.
* Establish strong relationships with NASOs, identifying key issues, investigating, reporting, and sharing findings.
* Support 'Fix it Right the First Time' incentives to reduce misdiagnosis, incorrect repairs, and unnecessary part replacements.
* Accurately identify root causes and translate subjective customer complaints into objective, repeatable data.
* Continuously enhance the capabilities of the team's engineers.
As the NAQC Team leader
* Major activities are:
* Manage outsourcing projects, including setting up contracts, monitoring progress, resolving arising issues, and finalizing projects.
* Review and understand team members' reports for guidance and direction.
* Attend and engage in North American affiliates' meetings to represent NAQC (Face of NAQC).
* Collaborate with HMC KASO to monitor field issues, collect incident parts, and schedule North American investigations.
* Provide QIR support through weekly meetings, manage new issues, assign responsibilities, issue FIR and root cause reports, and share information with affiliates.
* Work with the NAQC shop to schedule and complete projects on time.
* Collaborate with outsourcing companies to procure used vehicles for investigation purposes.
* Participate in affiliate meetings (QIR, FSE, FTS, LQMP, MQ, Battery, etc.) to better understand ongoing issues and concerns.
* Manage fleet vehicle usage to ensure optimal performance and availability.
* Use SMART to manage projects and monitor progress via weekly and monthly reporting.
* Conduct weekly team meetings to report status and plans to management.
Candidates considered will...
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
* 10+ years of engineering experience
* 2+ years of experience managing engineers
* Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
