POSITION SUMMARY Plans, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs consistent with identified needs and the AANP strategic goals. Assists in obtaining funds to support select programs. WHERE YOU WILL WORK This position can be remote, hybrid, or in office. Our office locations are Austin, Texas National Headquarters and Washington D.C. Government Affairs (Arlington, Virginia). ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES You are expected to perform the following essential responsibilities of the position with reasonable accommodation. Recommends educational content based on member feedback, surveys, needs assessments, prior activity evaluations, emerging advancements, and hot topics. Compiles, writes, and/or edits designated grant applications, using clear writing skills and in accordance with funding organization's guidelines. Prepares the grant proposal budget for review and submission by the Grant Accounting Specialist. Submits grant proposal information to funder (i.e., via portal, e-mail), in collaboration with the Grant Accounting Specialist. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates assigned educational activities and materials, based on established need, theory, and using a systematic approach. Prepares reports for AANP leaders, funders, and partners. Ensures that documentation of educational activities, in the project files, is appropriate, current, and complete. Effectively identifies and coordinates program faculty, contributors, vendors, and peer reviewers in preparation of assigned initiatives. Obtains quotes for and provision of services related to grant development, and execution of deliverables. Develops, tracks, and oversees projects, ensuring completion consistent with the proposed milestones, budget/costs, and deliverables. Performs statistical analysis of program data for outcomes reporting. Plans, designs, and disseminates learner outcomes analysis through power point presentations, snapshots, and posters. Responds to grant funder's request for information including any required status reports. When applicable, collaborates with other departments and outside education partners for potential grant proposals and education projects. Maintains current knowledge of major health conditions, current evidence-based recommendations & guidelines, and pharmacological & non-pharmacological treatments. Maintains familiarity with AANP Continuing Education (CE) related standards, as well as relevant recommendations from external organizations such as ACCME, OIG, FDA, and PhRMA. Assists with AANP conference session reviews as directed. Collaborates with Director of LMS to ensure relevant AANP-developed CE activity content is current, accurate, and maintains high quality standards. Participates in process improvements related to grants and education development. Effectively represents AANP as requested by the Director of Education by assisting with organizational activities, projects and other duties as directed. QUALIFICATIONS Education Required: Graduate degree in the field of Nurse Practitioner or Pharmacy. Preferred: Preferred certification in Family, Adult, or Adult/Gerontology. Experience Required: Five or more years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner (MSN, DNP, PhD or equivalent) or Pharmacist (PharmD). Experience in academic or continuing education with a broad knowledge of adult learning principles. Experience conducting literature reviews. Experience developing and managing grant and project budgets. Preferred: Preferred experience writing needs assessments and grant proposals. Experience in development and accreditation processes for educational activities preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Strong organization and project coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with high level of accuracy. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to perform all communications in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to network and collaborate effectively with internal and external colleagues. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Preferred: Basic understanding of statistical analysis. Analysis software knowledge. Previous experience with Articulate Rise, Storyline, and Descript. Other Ability to travel to AANP Conferences when required (approximately 3-5% per year).
