Short DescriptionA Nuclear Medicine Staff Technologist will be responsible for the following:• Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams. This will include general NM scans along with Nuclear Cardiology studies. • Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment.• The safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals• The safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.• Weekday, weekend and holiday call for after hour emergencies.• Follows all NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safetyExperience RequiredCompletion of clinical training through NM training program or college requirements
Education RequirementsGraduate of an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine
License/Certification RequirementsCurrent BLS.
Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License orCurrent CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medical Tech License.
Current NJ-NUCMED - NJ Nuclear Med Tech License.
