Job Summary and QualificationsGENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established policies and procedures, methods and standards to provide quality patient care.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Document patient information and perform other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.
· Greet and identify correct patient and provide a brief explanation of requested procedure to ensure patient care and patients' right to know.
· Perform all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintigraphy, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards.
· Perform imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements.
· Perform non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.
· Maintain appropriate supplies and a clean, organized work environment.
· Participate in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine.
· Perform other duties as required.
· Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
· Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
EDUCATION:
· Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in Nuclear Medicine (may include experience in formal NM formal training program)
· Prefer three years' experience in nuclear medicine department.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
· Required to be registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist
