Position Type: Student Support Services/School NurseDate Posted: 6/18/2024Location: Grand Island Senior High SchoolDate Available: 08/14/2024Closing Date: open till filledDistrict: Grand Island Public Schools This position is hired through Central Community College Apply here The Nurse Aide/Medication Aide (NA/MA) Trainer is responsible for delivering approved curriculum to students enrolled in the Nurse Aide and Medication Aide courses offered on the Columbus, Hastings, and Grand Island campus, as well as possible off-site locations (permanent centers, high schools, long-term care facilities). Individual will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Individual must have a current RN license. Essential Functions Essential Functions Teaches 76-hour Nursing Assistant and 40-hour Medication Aide courses, using NDHHS approved curriculum Essential Functions Ensures course meets all federal and state regulations pertaining to the training of nursing assistants and medication aides. Essential Functions Administers NDHHS competency evaluations (oral and clinical) to students meeting minimum proficiency requirements; reports results to Program Coordinator on a timely basis. Essential Functions Identifies, reviews, and recommends revisions to course curriculum and delivery. Monitors local, industry practices and OSHA regulations that may impact NA/MA courses and/or students. Essential Functions Coordinates with CWE supervisor and Program Coordinator on various program administration, course, student, and/or personnel issues. Recommends purchase of necessary equipment, and purchases supplies for classroom. Essential Functions Works in partnership with CWE personnel to compile data, prepare reports and track the progress of identified students. Essential Functions Accurately maintains institutional/instruction records to include student performance, grades and attendance in format required by state regulations and CCC policies. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate's degree, current RN nursing license.
