IHM Senior Living Community in Monroe is currently seeking a part-time Nurse Aides (non-certified) to assist and be a shower aide to our residents. This position is responsible for help residents safely enter and exit the shower/hydro, Ensuring water temperature is appropriate, Provide assistance in washing, rinsing, and drying hair, Comb hair/assistance with grooming, Provide assistance with getting dressed and apply lotions or creams, Maintain a safe and clean environment to prevent falls, Report any issues of concern observed during the bathing process, Ensure nails/toenails are trimmed, Assist with shaving facial hair, Change bed linens once weekly on scheduled days.Part-Time schedules available, does include working every other weekend/holiday

Qualifications Education: High school graduate/GEDExperience: Previous experience as a caregiver is required. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilities
- Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of personal computers and related software
- Ability to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgments.
- Dependability, with the ability to follow direction.
- Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
