Nurse Assistant - Eastern Connecticut Health Network : Job Details

The Nurse Aide performs activities which assist the patient in meeting basic human needs and activities of daily living under the direction of the RN or LPN. Performs additional competencies to enhance coordination and collaboration of patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN. Ensures accurate and clear communication to patients, families, and other employees at all times, assisting with other duties as needed to maintain a safe and clean environment. Maintains an accurate medical record. Reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager. EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION: High School graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of certified nursing assistant program is preferred but not required. OR Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification upon hire.
